They are so liberal and I refuse to give them a nickel for a subscription fee. I was an avid newspaper reader from childhood and I still need to look and see local news and obituaries. I’ve always said I get better news on aldeer and quicker than anywhere but I need to know a good place to read the local news whether it has the socialist slant or not. I still like looking at high school sports stories and local politics. Hope you all celebrate the 4th and remember the great people who sacrificed so we can live in still the greatest country ever.

I cant read their articles because I wont sign up for their crap. This. I was able to read their articles knowing they were biased and make up my own mind from the information, but quit reading any of it when they started charging. Now if it were truly unbisased reporting I might subscribe.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

It’s good to read news from a variety of sources. If you only read the ones that post stories you “like” you’re probably not being informed but just programmed. That’s how it started for me. I quit watching the Bill O’Riley and Sean Hannity types, and every time I saw Trump on Tv after his first election I sat there and just googled claims he made. Over and over and over they were all just bullshit. And that’s the only and last time he got my vote after that. It’s just been roiling waves of bs ever since.

Our own Clem, and I agree that the worst travesty is what has happened to the Montgomery Advertiser and the local Montgomery news for keeping up with state politics. Our own capital city does not have any kind of real news coverage for what is going on in the dumpster fire that is our state house. I know many former Advertiser employees who got canned when Gannet bought them out. Gannet is USA Today, and they made a point of trimming all the folks who spent years developing relationships for getting coverage within the capital complex and they were made gone overnight.
