The member "IGNORE" button is NICE! I used it for the first time in 18yrs and less non-sense makes for a more normal Aldeer experience.

ha...I tried it for a while but I was hoping it would simply hide those users entirely, as if they didn't exist. Instead, you still saw when they posted but it just said something like "you are ignoring this user" and didn't show what they posted. But then that was like a tease, and I'd wonder "man, I wonder what kind of idiotic nonsense this moron posted this time?" and I'd catch myself clicking the button to view it...so I figured there was no point in using the feature anymore.

I'm not so delicate I'd ever need that feature. There are plenty of attention whores and morons here , just like real life. I mostly just skip over anything they post. I don't respect their opinion enough to let anything they say bother me. For me, it was more about clutter. Other sites I've posted on, if you "ignored" someone, their posts/threads just disappeared entirely, as if they didn't exist. It wasn't about being "delicate" or being bothered by it, it was about not having other posts/threads buried by their trolling. But since that isn't how the feature here works, it's pretty much pointless because you still have to sift through their stuff even if you "skip over it"

I've never once thought it necessary to use the ignore function. Unplug from the 'net as needed & take frequent breaks. Get out & breathe some fresh air. It's gonna be OK. Getting riled up by something on a message board from someone you've never met is just nuts to me
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

In using that feature you would be depriving yourself of being able to laugh at the stupid things said out of ignorance. I like being able to just drop my head and shake it sometimes wondering what happened to our society.
