Yeah
She married a billionaire I read and he must like plastic

But 25-30 years ago!!! Then again I’ve not held up too well either 😂

Exactly. The guy literally put on an emo wig and a soul patch to escape his own music.

I had never heard of her so I looked her up. You are blind or gay.

I like Ella and RCSs a lot. In fact I had given up on modern country music until they came on to the scene. It is just coincidental that they both are from Alabama. I was thinking that getting my son a couple of tickets to see Ella in Auburn would make a nice birthday present for him and his girlfriend............then I went online and saw the prices. $1k+ for a pair. I wouldn't pay that much to go see Elvis even if he had Michael Jackson opening for him.

WKNG King Country 93.7 (West Ga/East Bama)
They still play country. None of the new stuff, etc. Also have a daily trade line buy/sell via call in radio.
On Sundays it’s all gospel and only gospel. Not many stations left like that

I don't find her hot, but I don't think she's "homely". She has some videos out there with her actually being country........cooking, horses, etc. I don't need to take my eyes below her neck. She's not a 10 with a small chest, pooch belly. But her lyrics say alot and she doesn't bounce around with the cheeks of her ass showing like that Megan something.

if you listen to shaboozy's lyrics its about the baby's at home needing diapers and food while he's at the bar drinking their money away. shameful stuff, maybe country boys can start copying the fatherless family model.

Hayes Carll, Ella Langley, Chatham County Line, RCS, Avett Brothers, Corb Lund, Tyler Childers, Turnpike Troubadours, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jason Boland, Reckless Kelly, Old Crow Medicine Show, Colter Wall, Lukas Nelson, Charley Crockett, Aaron Lewis, Sammy Arriaga, Adam Hood, Will Hoge, Holly Williams, Ashley Monroe, Margo Price, Adam Hood, Donna Hughes, Chuck Mead, and Blackberry Smoke are all examples of "our" music not going away. It was simply hidden from us by modern radio.

Satellite radio, Amazon Music, and Spotify brough it back to us, and I am forever grateful. Couldn't tell you the last time I turned on AM or FM radio on purpose.

Don't care for the dudes music but which song ya referring too? Cause i looked up the lyrics to Bar song and ain't nuttin about babies and children needing diapers or food in that particular song, But with that said the majority of OLD country music was about some guy sitting in a Bar spending money (usually with some ol bar whore lol) while his family's at home 😆

That's a fact, and probably planned that way. I would add Youtube to the list as well. Satellite radio would introduce me to various singers / bands, but then after searching them further on Youtube, I was missing out on some good music. Blackberry Smoke comes to mind as well as The Steeldrivers on the bluegrass side with Chris Stapleton as lead vocals. I'd rather hear CS back then vs todays stuff he sings. Not sure it classifies as country, but Oliver Anthony had a good run bypassing the normal radio route, and using Youtube. It was funny during an interview where he said music today for radio had to be a certain way like it was an OSHA standard or something. lol

It’s not just country music that has changed
All of it has changed and so have I
My hearing has gotten so bad that the instruments drown out any vocals….or is that actually my hearing that causes this effect ?
I miss the times when the vocals were at the forefront and the people could actually sing without music to hide the auto tune

There is GREAT country music out there today, much of it from Texas/Oklahoma and not Nashville….but most of it isn’t on FM radio.

Turnpike Troubadours, Whiskey Myers, Treaty Oak Revival, Red Clay Strays are just a few

“Red Dirt Radio” on Pandora should give you plenty of good stuff you won’t hear on the radio.

I can’t do country music on the radio anymore.
I download what I like mostly on Musi app for free. Lots good artists out there that don’t need radios bs, like Cody Jinks, Aaron Lewis, Tyler Childers, Billy Strings, Marcus King.
