Was settled on a 48V golf cart until the "rides like a wagon" comment. When I read that my back went "Oh no???".

So I was looking at facebook fleamarket for used UTVs. Polaris 2 seaters from ~2010 were ~$5k. So I figured a new one can't be a ton more. Sticker shock kicked me in the nads.

Some how I came across a cool looking big EV wagon. Looked great for getting things in/out of the woods as long as terrain isn't too bad. That thing was $3k.

Our Gator does not have heat and air. SILs does and he won’t tell what he wrote off on the company to get it. When it snowed last year their whole family got in theirs and rode all over the county having fun. I drove ours to the barn and checked cows and then put out hay. I almost froze before I got back to the house as I didn’t have enough layers on. That morning I would have given 30 thousand for heat.

Too rich for my blood.

BC is what you completely failed to misunderstood.
If you have a price in mind on literally anything from BeforeCovid, double or triple it.
That may get you in the ball park.
The Top of the Line Polaris starts at $50,000 before tax & options/accessories.
If you could get a house for $125,000 and a new F250 for $50,000 in 2017, that house is now $385,000 and the truck is $86,000.

This is all a result of inflation, loose financing terms so that any dick with $50 can buy anything they want and to some extent corporate greed.
Loose financing I believe is one of the major reason why toys and vehicles have crept up so much in cost.
Won’t be long before 120/144 month auto loans are commonplace on common brand vehicles.

I sent a photo from in inspection a few weeks ago to a friend. UTV, Harley, 4 Dirt bikes, 2 racing bikes, a 1980's Ford Bronco restored and pristine and a brand new all the bells and whistles Ford Bronco.

All in one photo. Tell me you got $ without telling me you got $

Following this to the eventual ending:

There has to be a bunch of bank owned side by sides?

Not yet, thus far this downturn has been in many respects a white collar type recession.

If someone is dumb enough to buy a toy they can’t afford, do you think it’s been maintained or used in a reasonable manner?
For every 1 that’s been garaged kept and service records there’s probably 10 that have been ragged out

I rode in one showing a guy a farm he bought. It was nice. My pioneer 700 is just a 2 seater with a lot of the incessant plastic broken off. The last guy that owned the place had one. I pulled it out for him one day when he got it to deep in the water. Cost him almost 5000 to get it fixed. They are nice but not for me

I have Ranger 500 I bought new in 2002 still riding it. I have never thought i lacked power needing to pull blown down trees out of roads and even pulling off my F 250 when the starter quit. I am replacing it this year and am going back with the same basic model which is the 570. checked prices last week and out the door price is right at 14000.
I am not paying 20,000 for a SXS.

I dont own one with heat and air but I've ridden in several that has it. They are really nice. But I have a hard time justifying 35k for a sxs. I know a guy that owns a polaris dealership. He said the accessories is where he makes his real money. He said some of the sxs will be 50 or 60k will all the accessories they add

I’ve seen a $80k truck pulling a trailer that was probably $20k plus 2 $40-$50k SxS. Come to find out these people live in an old double wide on 3acres. Lots of people out there have stuff they can’t afford or make poor decisions.

I have been in a new crew cab can am in the middle of the summer, needless to say I was'nt impressed. The AC could not keep up, I have a feeling its the same AC unit they put in the regular cab. It might be just fine in the regular cab but it was not good enough for the crew. I was also not impressed with the roof, the joint where it was added on to making it a crew cab was not sealed good and looked like it was ready to leak.

Without a doubt if you lived up north and had a big farm or cattle opperation I would have one in a heartbeat. The heater is where they shine.
