Idaho Releases Strict Firing Squad Protocols Ahead of the July 1st implementation date making the firing squad Idaho's primary form of execution.

Firing squads will feature three volunteer law enforcement members who have held active peace officer certification for at least three years.

100% Marksmanship Accuracy: Every chosen member must prove firearm proficiency by shooting with 100% accuracy from at least 21 feet away.

Rifle Specifications: Executioners will use .308 caliber rifles loaded with a single live round per magazine.

The Process: Inmates will be offered a mild sedative, restrained in an electric chair, and provided an eye cover upon request. Teams will fire simultaneously on a single command.

Looks like starting July 1st this will be active. Now that Idaho has also classified aggravated child sexual abuse a death penalty crime, we may actually get to see a pedo get shot to death. They deserve far worse in my opinion. We should at least let the family members or loved ones of the victim be one of the shooters.

Restrained in an electric chair? Is that just in case the bullets dont work?

Add 10 lbs of Tannerite just to be sure. Then throw the body to a pack of wolves.

Seems redundant but maybe they are worried about marksmanship. With the way people shoot these days it's probably warranted. laugh

That would work, but probably classifies as cruel and unusual punishment.

I would prefer either a shovel or a flip flop.

Seems like that will be pretty tough on the electric chair. So no “one shooter had a blank round” nonsense.

With all the recent court decisions against the State of Alabama and execution methods, wouldn’t surprise me if they went to a firing squad.

I’m guessing any sturdy chair would work. Just to make sure the prisoner doesn’t start lunging around and then the marksmen shoot them in the shoulder or whatever

I’m thinking buckshot would be a better option. The command should be PULL!

Being the resident expert on blowing beaver dams I have one comment. Don't put the Tannerite on his head. Make him sit on top of it and chain him to a tree. The results will be much more spectacular

I'm on board with the shooting, but they need to eliminate the sedative. And i feel the 3 shots need to be in succession instead of simultaneously. It should be aired on live TV for all to see.
