Hell, I'm a Type 1 diabetic. Take 5 shots a day. (2 different insulins) Been doing it for 36 years now.
Just watch your diet, and don't sweat the rest. Does your sugar go up and down alot or do you manage with diet? My 12 year old got diagnosed last June and my thoughts are keeping the carbs to a bare minimum and he won't use as much insulin. But seems with puberty and sports all day its a struggle. Of course the Dr says eat whatever and take a shot sorta like he has stock in it or something.

Type 1 means your body doesn’t make insulin anymore. Your diet will help you take less insulin but you are going to have to take a shot regardless.

Yeah, nowadays, I just eat and adjust my insulin. Low sugar can be scary. Disoriented and almost a drunk feeling. Hate when it happens.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Tossed the Metformin when I saw it contributes to neuropathy. "Metformin does not directly damage nerves, but it can cause or worsen neuropathy by reducing the body's absorption of vitamin B12". I'm taking metformin. I guess I need to add some B12 to the regimen. I can't take a multivitamin because I wind up with too much Vit. D. Doc told me to stop taking that. Some loss of kidney function. When I went to my usual VA doc appt about 5 months ago, as soon as she walked in the room I asked her why I felt terrible and I mean horrible, all day every day for awhile. She looked at the fasting blood work and said "Oh, you have diabetes". I had already told my wife that is probably what I have. It was at 8.6 That will make you feel bad. It's down now quite a bit. She was pleased with the results the other day, when I saw her.

Don’t give up brother! I have been type 1 for 25 years. Rode the needle this whole time. About 3 months ago both my daughter and I got in a Dexcom and omnipod. Total game changer! My blood sugars are much better and consistent.

I’d pull up the studies on carnivore and type 2 diabetes. From the sidelines, I read a bunch of success stories on different carnivore groups.

Not when I can stop eating like crap and get it under control on my own.

If you like your feet and lower legs you need to be serious or you will start having sores and circulation problems in the extremities and eventually amputations, I see it daily treating patients.
Diabetes is a silent killer and by the time many get serious they are already in a bad way and having major health and medical problems they are easily avoided with a little vigilance
Well, the way I see it is there's just too many assholes On a good day there's a bunch of assholes in here. On a bad day there's too many assholes in here.

After 36 years, my diabetes is attacking my feet. Had to go through 7 weeks of IV Therapy because of a bone infection in my foot. They were talking amputation of my big toe, but I said, nope. Not yet, at least.

Im type 2 and do Jardiance and the weekly shot. I started with Ozempic and all was great and then my digestive system didn’t like it all of a sudden. Either constipated or just the opposite, really opposite. Like colonoscopy prep opposite. The hard part was not knowing how it was going to be day to day. It works though. Anyways my Dr and I decided to try Mounjurno (sp?) and it has been easier on my system and works just as good or better than Ozempic. Don’t sweat it but be cautious about where you are in relation to a bathroom until you get a feel for how it comes out, bad pun intended.

I'm type 2 and do Jardiance and Ozempic and was doing Metformin. My kidney function dropped to 35% so got off Metformin and take Berberbine twice a day. Metformin is hard on the kidneys. From what I've researched 2 Berberine pills =2 Metformin pills

I realize some of yall probably has hereditary issues with your health, but what on earth do some of you eat to get to this point? I mean quit eating that shit and get up and move atleast for a short time a day. Diet and exercise are very important and most importantly quit eating fast food multiple times a week

Never been overweight, and am currently trying to gain weight. At 62, I'm 6'1" and down to 145lbs. Docs can't figure out why.
