Seedlings to head high. What will do it herbicide wise. They seem to laugh at everything I have tried so far.

You can effectively burn down seedlings (up to around 36" tall) with a super hot batch of gly. Never had an issue killing them with spot spraying with a 3-4% gly solution. Bigger than that, probably need to go with triclopyr.

Can you get a bush hog to them?

Been working on daylighting all my roads and field/plot edges with a hand wand using Gly on and off for a while but poor kill on pines. Just got a new spray rig for my tractor that can do a much better job and about to hit everything on the place. Death to Yaupon, cedar, magnolia etc would be great too.

I’ve never had a problem killing pines dead as a doorknob with gly. If you mix it and triclopyr with a surfactant and get full coverage there is no way they survive.

I think if you spray the crown with fly you will get them. I spray road sides with the tractor sprayer boom up. It kills pines that are 12 feet tall if I get the crown good. If I don’t get the crown it just burns the limbs. This is a lot better than trimming roads. I’m lazy and that tractor has a cab.

Why not try a prescribed burn?

Burns are on the list too. I have got way behind on things the last few years due too a couple of health issues and a lot of traveling.
