It’s a early sneak peek for current lease holders. 10-4. What is the renewal deadline for current leases?

I’m a Weyerhaeuser lease holder and got the same email. This is what it said.
(NOTE: The reason why you can see the offerings now, but you can’t request until next Tuesday at 12PM EST is because leaseholders who have been impacted by a land sale receive highest priority to pick up available properties. They will be able to request a property immediately. We believe this is the right thing to do. If you see a lease opportunity disappear from the website it is because a land sale impacted leaseholder initiated their ability to request early

Looks like about 10 properties left. I can look up the details if someone is seriously interested in one of them. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/KcMmSbR2/Screenshot-20260609-171602.png)

It’s a early sneak peek for current lease holders. Yeah and i still say it's complete bullshit, a feller can't even get em a lease unless he gets a heads up from a lease holder and by then it's already been cherry picked through (or they want fir themselves) and the stuff leftover is Garbage. But Oh well, be the 2nd year of no deer hunting for me & can't say i even miss it lol.

Not sure what has created this issue but Lease property in south AL has gotten extremely difficult to come by over the last few yrs.. Wasnt long ago a fella could find property on just about any timber co website this time of the yr.. The last Rayonier Tract I leased in 2019 had been vacant for 3 yrs prior.. Dont think we'll ever see those days again. Folks are leasing site unseen now. Crazy times

Crazy times hamma i remember counting the days for leases to come up to have a peek at but now (several years not sure how long becausei oncewas a lease holder) but Weyerhaeuser sends a list to lease holders first so they’ll call a frien of a frien (of course if they're not interested) and it never hits the site unless it's crap (usually)

Gotten to be rich mans sport. I paying somewhere around 12.75 for my 256 and lot folks pay more. I stopped buying tss - if my winchester shells aint good enough when they consistently kill at 55 - i need to do something else
My camden lease is cheap but my neighbor has screwed that up to where most my bucks gone - cut off job. I never made it a mission to hump my neighbor - let him do his thing and i do mine. That is kind of messed up to do that to someone
Be interesting to see where sport is in 10 years if i still here. If i killed 1 true monster be lot easier to walk away from it

With the ability to bait, guys now don't have to search for those clubs that harvests big bucks or fall into the right small lease with a few others. A property doesn't have to be large, prime habitat, have a lot of food plots, etc. - as long as quality deer are in the area, you just have to be able to feed on it to "get in the game". What's better for most deer hunters when it comes to harvesting a nice deer? Competing with 5-6 other guys in a 2,000 acre club for a particular deer or being the only guy on a lease of 100 acres with 2-3 quality bucks that frequent your feed sites?

The latter is better. What's the number one rule in turkey hunting? Don't scare the turkey. What's the number one rule in deer hunting? Don't scare the deer.
Thats alot easier to do when you control pressure. Im convinced there is a large percentage of "deer hunters" whose primary goal is to simply get out the house and piddle... go ride around on rangers all over the club and and walk around all the foodplots "looking for tracks" and putting out cameras and corn and about everything else they can think of that violates rule number one.. and POOF - all the bucks you had on camera all summer have become vampires. And on a lot of places this happens just before the season.. about the time everyone descends upon the club for the first time all summer getting in their "work days", and "plot planting" which is just what 95% of them say so as an excuse to go ride and stomp around on every single acre they can.
