Went to the skin doctor on Wednesday. They froze 15 places on my body and cut another 3 off. I feel like I've been in some weird kind of motorcycle wreck.

She said that most if not all of the stuff was from when I was much younger. She said that the body's cells try to repair the damage from the sun, and some of the cells, due to DNA damage from the UV rays, just kind of go rogue and start replicating too much.

Fair skinned people tend to get more attention from the dermatologists in their later years than us swarthy types. Best get used to it.

I started seeing a dermatologist a few years ago. Had a few frozen and one biopsy last year. I go yearly now and was surprised I didn't have more due to my early years.

Oh yeah... My Scots-Irish-Viking side has not been kind to me. That and I worked outdoors as a carpenter, liked to surf and rock climb a lot when I was young. All in nothing but a pair of shorts.

Some of those dermatologists like to cut and some don’t. I had one that liked to cut and then went to another who said, you good. I wear a long sleeve cotton shirt and pants year round. Dr. prescribed vitamin D at the first of the year. I had been sluggish for about a year and thought it was dehydration but just low vitamin D.

It won't ever stop now, so get used to the freeze. It goes with the territory for us blue eyed beauties 😂
My only advice now is a quality long sleeve dry fit hoodie. It won't fix the damage from younger years, but it will hopefully prevent speeding up the process. Coppertone sport 50 applied prior to sweating has also really helped me from getting burned on the face

Sunscreen filled with benzene and other known carcinogens may not help the situation.

I think lots of people suffer from low vitamin D and just don't know it.

Even the folks we know at the beach that seem to be going through some tough times are still pretty happy people. I think the vitamin D has a lot do do with their attitude.

My wife suffers from low vitamin D. I told her I had a solution.🍆💥

They cut me freeze stuff every time I go now that I have blue cross insurance .Didnt do nothing when I had united health care. I scratch my head

Promised my wife I'd go to the doc in the box next week. Got some crazy skin shiznits going on myself. Got ate up by chiggers on my ankles in2021 and it hasn't healed yet. Then last month I got into some poison ivy on my arm. It looks horrible.

I fight the same thing. Dr. told me I should never go out in the sun without a long sleeve shirt and a good hat. I do the long sleeve shirts if I’m going to be out for long periods of time but I just can’t do the hat. I wear my cap but no hat. I had a small chunk of my ear cut out last year and stitched up and every time I go for a Dr. visit they burn several spots on my arms and face.

My nose. While fishing, I have a wide brimmed hat, sit underneath a bimini top, have a large towel draped over the edge of the bimini to block the late afternoon sun. All that and I still forget about the UV reflection off the water. My nose takes the brunt of that.
