What part of Louisiana do you hunt? You got a good duck place?

May want to try Kings family lakes in Epes, Alabama. I think they are very reasonable.

I hunt pine plantations in what is known as the Florida parishes just east of Baton Rouge. I haven’t duck hunted in years, when I did I hunted WMAs. Everyone says the duck hunting has gone way down.

I would save and go out state - i hav done bama pay hunt 👎👎

But - i would do Morgan Academy pay hunt in heart beat! It has been recommended here before - great area - i would do that before a pay hunt. Cost way less and great area around selma

Marengo closed for long time

If i did chocktaw - i would do - well heck - no i would not - selma better area for big deer anyway - pay less and $ goes to the school

Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self

The Morgan Hunt. You'll be hunting family land that has limited hunting for the most part.

If you want to do a lodge hunt, Blackbelt Hunting Lodge or Alabama River Lodge are good people that I personally will vouch for. The land I hunt is very close to both of these.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Me and a buddy did the Morgan hunt this past season. We got to hunt on about 630 acres (just me and him). The landowner had 5 food plots that were beautiful and feeders on 3 of them. The weather was bad but
we still ended up killing 1 buck and 3 does. I would highly recommend that hunt. We also got to stay at his camp on the property which was a plus. we already paid half up front to go back this coming up season.

Does the Morgan hunt have a waiting list? I’ve contacted a few other school hunts and they all have waiting lists.

The morgan hunt last year did not have a waiting list. It cost us $1300 for 2 full days of hunting. Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and Sunday morning. Brett Wood is the one that is heading it up. From what I could gather
some board members tried to run in the past and almost ran it in the ground. This past season was Brett's first time and in my opinion he did a wonderful job. I think his dad ran it several years ago. I would go to the Morgan
Academy's Facebook page and contact somebody there and see if there a way to get it on it this year. We paid half the deposit to go again this coming up season and saved $100 by doing that. I do know that returners get first dibs.

Some of the water valley properties butts up to mine. They killed some good deer this year. Four of the big shooter bucks they killed came off of my property. It’s not a guarantee hunt but if the weather is right and it’s that time of the year you have a good chance to be successful. If you want a guaranteed hunt for about 2500 or so go to Texas. My brother runs a ranch out there for a guy and guides hunts. You can go out there for 3-4 days and come home with a damn nice deer

I considered Texas at first but for a quick 2 day hunt I rather make a 3 hour drive instead of 10
Hell I can take you hunting for the weekend and you can pay me a little money instead of some overpriced Alabama lodge

Me and a buddy are going out to your brother’s place this fall, seems like a legit setup. Looking forward to it.

You will be hooked for sure. You will be a different person coming back to hunt Alabama. Maybe I’ll be out there with y’all. It’s definitely a good time
