Looks like "maybe" is back on the table. They got to get the oil flowing sooner than later. Right now the oil price is dropping on "maybe" . If this thing can get wrapped up fast I suspect the oil price will drop down to a more tolerable level but it would still be a while until the gas price improves. Avg gas price is up higher than yesterday to $4.56 national avg.

US AWAITS IRAN RESPONSE AS MIDEAST TENSIONS RISE

The US is waiting for Iran’s response to a proposed peace deal that could reopen the Strait of Hormuz and ease the regional conflict, while Israel carried out fresh strikes in Lebanon.

The proposal reportedly includes easing sanctions and restarting talks in exchange for limits on Iran’s nuclear program. President Trump warned the US could expand military action if Tehran rejects the plan.

At the same time, Israel said it killed a Hezbollah commander in Beirut, marking its first strike on the Lebanese capital since last month’s ceasefire.

Oil prices fell as hopes for a deal grew, though tensions across the region remain high.

Perhaps the blockade is actually working.

The Iranian people have revolted against an oppressive regime before, but it apparently takes a lot of shit before they do.

Iran just issued a statement saying that they control shipping through the strait. The Saudi's just said they are talking with Iran to get the stranded vessels released from the strait and are hopeful for a resolution within the day. Apparently another Iranian flagged vessel may or may not have been disabled by the US, sources are sketchy about that. The report showed a fire on land and was talking about a boat so we wait and see if that report is true or not.

Could be a factor…. From NBC:
Saudi Arabia (along with Kuwait) suspended U.S. military access to key bases and airspace, specifically restricting operations related to a U.S.-led initiative known as "Project Freedom" in the Strait of Hormuz

Well if this is true, one would think, instead of getting the Iranians to rise up and overthrow their government, weve galvanized the entire middle east to stand against us. A bunch of rag heads standing together against the us, who wouldve seen that coming. I guess i just dont understand chess!

That NBC story is apparently true but is not being fully discussed. Apparently, the lack of communication between the US, S.A., and Kuwait, caused a lot of air traffic confusion which almost resulted in accidents or friendly fire issues. S.A. got mad about it and apparently Trump and S.A. had an unpleasant phone call about the situation. Trump paused the Project Freedom because of the confusion and lack of coordination. Odd's are the confusion would have resulted in more problems than the current situation.

Tweeter is the devil

The move was prompted by frustration from Saudi leadership over the announcement of "Project Freedom" on social media before proper diplomatic coordination

Just in. "maybe" may not be, we shall see.

IRAN REJECTS U.S. STRAIT OF HORMUZ DEAL AS ‘UNREALISTIC’

Senior Iranian official Mohsen Rezaei said Tehran will not accept a U.S. plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz unless it includes reparations for war damage.

He rejected Washington’s proposed framework, saying Iran will not accept symbolic concessions and insists on “tangible benefits” in any agreement.

Rezaei added that Iran will continue its “resistance,” signaling no softening in its stance despite ongoing negotiations.

We should either start back the missile attacks and try and finish them off, or tuck our tails and head home. There is and never has been a a possibility of a diplomatic solution with Iran.

We should just walk away, let them rebuild their own danged country. And of course, reserve the right to bomb the sh1t out of anything we feel like in the future.

News just came out that S.A. and Kuwait are going to let the US use their airbases and airspace. and that "Project Freedom" could restart. the US has confirmed.
TRUMP ADMINISTRATION IS NOW LOOKING TO RESTART PROJECT FREEDOM

Now the price of oil is starting to go back up. It appears the global oil market is ok with Iran's terms for tolls and such. Or maybe its the thought of more conflict that is raising the price of oil.

Wonder who made money today? The Saudies?
As of May 2026, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) are investigating multiple suspicious oil futures trades, totaling over $2.6 billion in transactions, that occurred immediately before major policy announcements by President Trump regarding the Iran war. These "well-timed" trades, which saw large bets against oil prices, generated significant profits.

Yup. Whoever has been doing it will not get caught but a lot of well positioned rich folks will be suspected of doing it. I'm sure the investigators will find some kind of patsy somewhere to point a finger at.

They said this 2.6 billion was 4 trades.
I’d guess Lutnick was involved

Or well connected Iranians, Russians, and Chinese, people who visited Epstein Island with Howard Lutnick and Bill Gates. Folks on X are already pointing fingers at Trump's sons and Jared Kushner.
In this case, because of the global trading networks with the oil market it really could be anybody.

It's a model scenario as to why essential commodities should only be allowed to be traded by individuals or companies in the business, with the physical capacity to actually take delivery of whatever it being traded. Dont have an EPA approved above ground million gallon crude tank, dont own a $200,000,000 ocean worthy oil tanker ship, 500 mile oil pipeline, or an actual refinery? Then you should have no business in, and should not be allowed to trade in the crude market. It's worldwide speculation and manipulation from outside the industry, that is driving the price wild, not actual end user trading activity.

Yup, if oil were traded based on actual supply and actual demand prices would probably be higher, but the price would not be subject to insane price swings based on well planted news stories.

Speaking of which, the news is now saying that UAE and Iran are shooting at each other and US warships might be involved. UAE air force might be bombing some of those islands. The news is very fragmented right now.

Looks like the administration wants that oil price higher. The markets were pricing in Iranian oil tolls and seemed ok with it. Oh well.

BREAKING: The US Military has just conducted strikes on targets in southern Iran, including Bandar Abbas and Iran’s Qeshm Port, per Fox News.

It appears the US-Iran ceasefire is beginning to unwind after renewed strikes from both sides.
