Gonna guess the economic squeeze is hurting them badly

Doubt it. They got the carry trade outside of Swift and are in CHIPS. Plus, Russia and China have just formalized an oil for Rubles/Yuan deal that walks around the dollar. Most of the Asian countries are on board with it. They aint gonna go broke again like they did in the 80's.
If Vlad says things are winding down then you might as well assume nothing. He's still Vlad and he's always up to something.

Just In: Putin: Ready to meet Zelensky not only in Moscow but also in a third country to sign a final agreement

Keep in mind, Putin did not say when a meeting will take place or when a final agreement will be reached. All he said is that he is ready to meet with Zelensky.

I've been watching. The tide on the battlefield has turned in Ukraine's favor. It's been through a lot of hard work and innovation by the troops on the ground. Pound for pound the Ukraine Military is now one of the best in the world.

I don't follow any of this very closely but hasn't if been proven that most of our aide went directly into the pockets of Ukranian officials? I think I saw James O'Keefe doing an undercover story a couple weeks ago where one of our government department heads said he personally watched us send Ukraine millions that were immediately used to buy Ferraris, Bugatti's and new mansions. He said he went to report it to his bosses and was told to keep his mouth shut.

I'm not saying that none of the money went to line people's pockets both in Ukraine and the US, but the widely documented success on the battlefield of the Ukrainians tells us that the proof is in the pudding of where most of the money went.

If all of the money the US sent went to buy sports cars and mansions, how are they winning on the battlefield?

If what the US and our European allies has done is not working then this war would have been over a long time ago.

I agree with Irish. I think Putin's time is coming close to ending. When the hostilities end and many more Russian mothers find out that their babies aren't coming home than they were led to believe, the seat Putin is sitting on will get searing hot. Right now, it is burning hot, but it will get hotter. He tried to rebuild the old USSR Empire and failed. That will be his legacy. I believe he now sits up at night trying to find a way out and save face and his life. I realize many of you won't agree with me, but the Western World owes the people of Ukraine a thank you for stopping Putin and his megalomania in his tracks.

Like others on here, I wonder who will be next? A moderate or an even more hardliner?

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Russia is no different from us when it comes to the War machine driving an economy. They have corrupt politicians bought off no different than ours
