Anyone own anything down there and rent it out to the public some? Or have any suggestions? Not knocking this Airbnb stuff, but dang they charge a bunch of BS fees. I get it, just looking for ways around it. Preferably a 3/2 but would look at a 2/2 deal. Thanks

If it’s just guys—Sportsman’s Lodge in East Point. It’s not nice. But it’s cheap & convenient. Old German lady named Edda runs the place. It’s been there forever. Basic cabins on the water. Public boat ramp next door. Very basic. But if you’re just going to fish all day everyday, and just need a place to sleep & tie up your boat, it’s good enough. If you’re taking wife/kids or going for vacation, St. George Island across the bridge is way nicer.
Lock your truck doors around Appalachicola & East Point. Lots of druggies down there.

Are you fishing or beachin? St. George Island is very nearby and there are mostly all houses out there. I get that about the stupid and exorbitant fees. I can't stand them either. Always trying to work around those fees. Also, you can check some rental companies and try to negotiate with them.

It would be for fishing. Been going down a few years now. Been staying at the same place SGI it’s a nice place, just costly on fees. Knew few guys on here had some in bama, just checking for some leads down that way. Really enjoy that place. It’s been 3-5 days trips down there last few years, like to try 7 days this year. 😁
