I get that am Im sure it happens. I was coming more from the self employed, owning your own business arena. Ive been working for 40 years now and probably 30 of those years I have been self employed in some form or fashion so I don’t really have my thumb on the working for a company deal. That being said- if you want to be successful at anything in life, there is still that aspect of working your ass if and paying your dues.

I completely agree. It's not just corporate. It's everywhere. I've experienced it in the public and private sectors.

I coached girls' slow-pitch softball for 16 years. The park( DONELSON CIVITAN DONELSON TN ) that my girls played was volunteer-only. NO ONE was paid.
My assistant coach was a great guy and had his daughter on our team. He did batting and stance for hitting, I was the defense coach, Where to play the ball? Where's your Play? First year we were undefeated 22-0. Years go by and asst moves to another state. The teams were sponsored by whoever/whatever. Last year I coached I had THE SPONSOR FROM HELL. Start of the season, there were team photos made. Just so happened that LITTLE SUSIE had a conflict of time. We made the photo at the time the photographers set. NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE SPONSER FROM HELL.SO the people that were the park director asked for a redo for the photo. Not only were the photo people put out but our whole team had to make time for SFH. Anyway SPONSER FROM HELL ASKED WHY WAS LITTLE SUSIE NOT PITCHING? So last game of the year, Little Susie was the star pitcher! After the 15 run rule in the first inning, the game was called For some reason, Little Susie did not attend the after-game meeting

Heck there’s young folks these days who complain about working 40. Go start up your own business you ungrateful freaks. Then you’ll beg for those 40 hour weeks with paid vacations and 401k match. 😂

I'm the "old man" where I work. I tell them all the time that I'm paid for the experience and knowledge. Some of them just simply don't get that. They want all the perks without any of the pain.

This is a retarded analogy but hang on. A guy I know started telling me about his son buying a whole rolling tool box and tools to fill said box. I know what’s wrong with that. Young man put it on a credit card. The dad asked the son why he would do something as stupid as that. The kids response to his dad is he(the dad) has a full tool box of tools. Dad explains it took a life time of buying tools as needed or as money allowed to achieve the full set of tools. The dad was flabbergasted to say the least. The rub is the dad spent a lifetime accumulating his tools. The son saw no need to wait.

That’s exactly the mentality of many today. So if the dad bought 10k worth of tools in his lifetime without using a credit card then he actually paid 10k for the tools. If the son bought 10k on his credit card then by the time he got done making the minimum payment each month he paid 25k for 10k worth of tools that he finally paid off 47 years later 😛

All good explanations above. LittleJoe Bob goes to work & expects to get daddy’s pay & daddy’s benefits. Not expecting to do daddy’s work.
