There was a lot going on around my property several years ago. There's a couple neat things still around. This is what I'm sure was one of the original property markers. I discovered it when I was looking to buy the property where the land drops off to the creek bed. When I had a survey done, the line ran within a foot of it. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/5eJY49I.jpeg) This is a column on my property for an old railroad trestle. One of my property lines is the main creek, Lost Creek, and another is a smaller creek that feeds into Lost, West Fork Creek. The trestle crossed over West Fork. The column is made out of hewn rock. Skinny researched it for me a while back based upon GPS coordinates and gave me the history on it. It dates back to the late 1800's. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/TSyyOLh.jpeg) On the adjoining property just above me was Boshell Mill. The old rock dam is still there but the mills both burned in the early 70's. There was a grist mill on one side of the creek and a saw mill on the other. Near the mill on the highest elevation point within reasonable eyesight of it you should be able to find a USGS Survey marker monument. It was probably set there in the 1920's-30's.

really cool that you have before pics It was a historical type place for the area and there are several old photos on the internet of it.

Driveby, I know exactly where this is , Ive walked around the old mill and remember when part of it burned. Its in Townley. There used to be gars swimming in the upper part of the dam water, maybe they still are. I used to squirrel hunt right down the road from there on the higher mountain side before Drummond came in and mined it and changed the landscape forever.

That's it. I'm below the bridge that's on Cedrum road. My drive comes in off highway 124.
I've seen the creek slam full of gar when they swim upstream to spawn.

Before this area got mined, I had a friend that lived right down the road from you and we would go to the old dump and strip pits that had a lot of blue holes that held some pretty good bass and bream. The coal company bought them out
