Listen on private, heard 1 he gobbled 4 times so far. If I don’t hear another he’ll survive me. Land owner always says to leave a breeder. If ya only hear one let it go. It’s not my land so…. Sounds like a hen is clucking they pitched off in the pasture. Beautiful morning

Got him!! Heard him from 3/4 miles away. Wouldn’t you have it he was 200 yards from my camper!! I would stop about every 200-300 yards getting g to him and call. He would answer every time. Got to within 200 yards and he started hammering!! Had to bell crawl the last 75 to get above him. Got set by an oak tree and yelped….BAM! He’s just over the hill. Had two try to slip by this morning. I uglied one almost to death then choked him out at about 6:50.

I heard one far off at my place. Stopped at another place I hunt on my way to work and one was gobblin in what I thought was the greenfield or woods off the back. I grabbed my shit and took off towards him. He was apparently in the road and saw me because I never heard him again when I got close. I was replying to work emails while walking and accidentally walked through an open area on a hill and I think that's likely when he saw me. Oh well he has generally been on the neighbors the last two weeks. Maybe I'll try him before work one day next week.

My wife killed a good one this morning about 7:30. 18lbs 1.5" spurs and 12.5 inch beard. Shot him at 20 yrds attacking the jake decoy.
