Makes you wonder how long before (if not already) it can be used to detect opposition - I'm thinking snipers.

I just read about that in a Tom Clancy novel he wrote years ago. He knew things long before they happen. Rainbow Six was the name of the book.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

The heart has an electrical System, and a specific rhythm. I could see where this would be detectable

I wonder what happens after we have a good (well, bad) mexican dinner. How does the system differentiate between a heart beat vs a bowel explosion? Asking for a friend.

This will be why you can't hide from the terminators when Skynet goes online.

Jack Murphy, former Ranger and long term special operations journalist has done 2 good videos on the mission on his Eyes On Geopolitics channel and he seems to think it’s BS.
Who really knows..

As a former Naval Aviator in the Marine Corps and SERE school graduate, I think this "Ghost Murmur" thing is BS. Every aviator, at least we were, is properly trained and equipped to contact specific agencies if they are down behind enemy lines. I won't get into specifics, but suffice to say they know where you are and how to communicate with you.

Unless we got it from those aliens that can defy gravity and go 200 mph under water I call BS too. The curvature of the earth at 40 miles would keep that from happening. Would be nice to tune one up for 160 inch and above buck and pinpoint where it is though.

Just seems to me if they can detect it at 40 miles, they can mess with it at 40 miles too.

Another SERE School graduate here. As Mauser said, communication would not be that difficult as long as h had access to all the equipment in his survival kit. The challenge for the rescuers is verifying it’s really him. As long as he followed his training which it sounds like he did, he just hid and waited for the rescue plan to come together.

I'm not gonna call complete bullshit. There is probably a little bit of truth. However, to pick up a heartbeat within a mile seems...exaggerated. Much less 40. Lets say you can pick up a heartbeat from a mile away. You gotta filter out all the other noise, including the helicopter it's mounted to. Then you got to find one heartbeat when there are at least half a dozen at any given time. Then you have to track it? Who's to say it's the heartbeat you're looking for? What makes that one heartbeat stand out from others. Do they record all pilot and special operators heartbeats and can tell each by some special sound?
Nah, changed my mind. Bullshit.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

If it detects a human heart beat from 40 miles away could it be possible that this murmur tech could send some kind of killer signal to the heart effectively causing a heart attack and terminating the person ? kinda thin ain't it .
