Congrats on a great trophy! Older birds generally hav good harims in breeding season and they are very sly and hard to kill. bUT - you let him be alone for days and they can act semi stupid at times for lov
Yes - you can get on a hard or unique bird and hunt him for years. Done it umpteen times. And no bird came in and acted like that one did after i killed him. Rookies on here hav said you cant do that - but that is very inaccurate
1 and 3/8 spur and greater usually very rare for bama. I killed 1 3/4 in FL and 1 1/2 in mizzu decades ago and i killed 4 beard bama gob back in 90s along w a 2 beard. Aint seen multi beard since

Outstanding! First turkey I ever killed was a Jake with only nubs for spurs, but I did call him from across the Cahaba in Bibb county just east of Centerville, from north side of river to south side bluff where I was.
