Our boy got to ring the bell at Children’s today! They’ve declared him cancer free! Just have to go every 3 months for scans/labs to make sure it doesn’t come back. God is good!! Awesome!!! Good news............we're happy for y'all.

Hit a little bump in the road yesterday. Shep woke up with a fever so we called Children’s who instructed us to take him to our local ER for evaluation. Took him to Baptist East in Montgomery (big mistake) where we sat from noon until midnight, not even joking, just to have him transferred to Childrens in Bham via ambulance anyway. Basically just treating it like he has a bug and giving him fluids/monitoring his temp. Mainly needed to make sure he didn’t have some sort of infection going on. I really wish we had driven straight to Bham from the get go but lesson learned. I’ll have been up for 24hrs here in about 45 mins

My daughter sat in the waiting room for 12 hours and then they parked her and treated her on a gurney in the hallway with dozens of other patients for 24 hours, then they finally got her a room post op for her gall bladder. If you got an option to go somewhere else, go there. Don't even get me started on how screwed up they got the billing and insurance.

Service Bulletin
For ER or Hospital stuff stay out of Montgomery.
For anything else stay the he!! out of Montgomery. I'm still here for another year or two and I'm gone.
Grew up here and hate what its become.
And lifting up prayers for Shep and your family Coosa. Glad he's in the best of hands now.
