I have had a run of bad luck the past few days with my Suburban. Friday I had both front calipers lock up. Fortunately I was on my way to and not far from Hicks Tire in Haleyville to drop a co-worker off. Hicks belongs to Eclipse829. Well, we rolled in with smoke rolling from my front end and Tom (Eclipse) came out to see. I left it with him and he had me fixed up with 2 new calipers and brake hoses in about 2 hours even though he was pretty busy.....and at a good price too. Fast forward to Monday and I could tell something was amiss with my front left wheel. I was pretty sure the wheel bearing was going out and told Tom I would drop it off Tuesday morning on the way to work. I didn't quite make it. Tom had come up on me and followed because he knew I was having trouble. About 10 miles out I felt it give and heard the loud grinding sound, simultaneously my phone lit up and it was Tom telling me to pull over......now! I had sparks flying. I had it wreckered on in and Tom hooked me up with a new bearing and checked the other side out by lunch, again at what I thought was a good deal.
So......if you are in the Haleyville area and need tires or work done, go see Eclipse829 at Hicks. He's good folks and will treat you right.
