It was pretty much all Mountain Boho on this one fellers. All I did was grill them on the Baby Kamado and walk around looking all handsome and shit with a martini in my hand. Did I say it was Martini Monday?

This is my sweet little Pumpkin in her element... Glass of wine and cooking stuff. This is the sausage getting made... And no, 20 Mule Team Borax did not go into the elongated meatballs.

I did make another contribution and that was to mix up the Kofta with my bare hands... Arrgh!

Still working on getting the hang of the Baby Kamado, but she's doin' all right...

If that gator just a few feet away in the pond has a nose, he had to be getting hungry just about when this pic was taken, cause it was smellin' good.

Yummy in the tummy... We had forgotten Greek peppers on our trip to Walmart and had to stop at the Fort Morgan Dollar General and all they had was the pepper rings, but they still ate pretty good. I think that's basmati rice as a side dish. Y'all will have to get Mountain Boho to post up the recipes for the kofta and tzatziki sauce. If I had to go on a diet, I think the Mediterranean Diet would be the easiest one to sustain. The Italians, the Greeks, the Lebanese, the Moroccans all really know their food and I love the combinations of spices they use.

2 shots of Tito's Vodka
1/2 shot of Noily Pratt Dry Vermouth
1/4 shot of olive brine
1 really good olive

Put the first three ingredients and some ice in a pint mason jar with some ice. Shake 30 times.

Pour into chilled martini glass.

Add olive.

Drink and then snack on the olive between cocktails.

Repeat until feeling loose and carefree.

Don't over do it. Martini's are the Heroin of the alcohol world....

It is my most favorite cuisine! IF there was a Med restaurant down here other than a drive thru type place, that would be my weekly haunt! There is Jerusalem Grill in Rome that is excellent and reasonable when we're back at the cabin. Fort Payne is a food desert and you have to drive to get good food.

I have The Mediterranean Dish cookbook which is wonderful! But mostly I'm looking up recipes on my phone.

You should hang out at Ft Morgan Marina and catch Vlad when he comes in off his charter boat, MSC Fishing. He owns a chain of sandwich shops Mediterranean Sandwhich Shops. He’s got a big ass Freeman center console and is serious about killing fish.

We should! But that sounds like work to us... and we're just not into that. Work, that is. We know just enough about food, hygiene, business and service to get ourselves into serious trouble!

If ya’ll drive over to Fairhope one day, check out Sage. Excellent Mediterranean food. Their hummus is amazing. Lamb Chops, amazing. It’s all good.
