Foggy here in Conecuh County. Was able to take one for a truck ride yesterday morning but so far this season it’s been a struggle. Plenty of birds here but they’ve been awful quiet for some reason. Good luck to everyone this morning.

Haven’t heard a bird since scouting before the season opener. Sat a strutting area for 1/2 the day yesterday and didn’t hear nor see anything. Butt went to aching and as I stood up to leave a tom took to the wing not 50 yds from me. He came in silent and I never saw him until he was flying off. I’m still kicking myself.

Ended up hearing 5 in the fog this morning. Fooled with one until his ladies took him away.

I had two I've been after hang up on me this evening. Watched them strutting for 2hrs around 120 yards away. Not much for evening hunting but struck one up at 5 yesterday evening and killed him at 5:40. He gobbled the whole way.

Had two gobbling on the roost then flew down and HUNG UP for two hours, I’m talking stayed in a 30 ft radius gobbling and strutting the whole time about 120 yards from me. They were about 80 yards over the line so I was limited in my movement. I tried relocating left and right and nothing worked. Left them to it for another day but still a fun hunt.
