Long shot I guess, since people are getting away from 12 gauges for turkey hunting, but would anyone have any interest in trading a 410 turkey set up for my 12 gauge Stevens. I bought the Stevens just so I would have a 12 gauge option after I lost the charging handle to my TriStar Viper compact, and due to the fact that the point of impact was different than the point of aim. However, I figured out I could still use the TriStar without the handle and bought a Holosun and rib mount for it, so I now have a 12 gauge option. I have only patterned the Stevens with several loads but have never taken it hunting. It shoots Long Beard XR 5 and 6 shot very good through the Kicks .670 choke I have in it. The only TSS I've shot through it was Herters 2.75", which it also shot well with. I spray painted the barrel and receiver green to match the camo stock, and it looks pretty good.I would like to trade it for a 410 set up. Either a Stevens 301 or Rossi Tuffy Turkey would be fine but could add a little cash for something a little nicer. I don't want to spend much though, because ti won't be used much. I'm mainly looking because my grandson had wrist surgery yesterday and may miss the entire season. I thought he might could handle a light kicker towards the end of the season. I have a 28 gauge that will probably work, so I'm not desperate. My Stevens has an AT3 RD50 red dot on it but would like to keep it unless the trade gun also has a red dot on it. For a moment I thought you had responded to the wrong thread. Lol. Never thought about that. May do some research on it but think I would just rather have a regular 410. Thanks for the heads up though.
