Financial podcasts will only hurt my feelings pointing out all I did wrong and will never be able to correct. Habitat and wildlife podcast might be educational but probably not interesting enough to keep my attention long on a drive. As for true crime podcasts, they need to be talking to me about a couple of my old cases since I lived it. I liked a couple of the cold cases podcasts but get frustrated when there is not a resolution. I’ve got a good case that someone needs to do. I know who the killer was and she was arrested and indicted but never went to trial. Only one person could’ve done it but every time I brought it up the Assistant DAs would get fired up about it and after them starting on it would call me and tell me to just let it go. No further explanation. Every investigator will have a case they will always remember. Well, that is mine.

Jawbone! I would be interested to hear that story! Confidently with names redacted of course. Sounds like a good one!

I would as well.

I too have one that I still think about that made national news. Every couple of years the Sheriff will call and we talk about it. Missing person, bloody residence. About all I know to say without saying anything.

Edit to say: Now that I think about it, I think they're several podcasts out there talking about it. I know there is a lot of news articles and videos. I'm past my bedtime but will look it up later and at least post a link to one.

Im going to sit down and type it out one day. One of the few outright blatant incidents of racism by a police chief I witnessed. Im still mad about that.

A couple of audio books that come to mind are
On Desperate Ground, about the battle at the Chosin Resevoir
and 19 Minutes to Live about Cobra pilots in Vietnam.

Against the odds
Season 58 Teddy Roosevelt Amazon
Season 37 Buried Alive
Season 36 Johnstown Flood
Season 35 Adrift in the Pacific
Season 33 Alone in Alaska wilderness
Season 20 Chowchilla school bus kidnapping

These were all pretty good. There are a lot on against the odds and I haven’t listened to a lot of them
I also liked in the red clay about the Dixie Mafia

Gospel in Life with Timothy Keller
Church of Eleven22

Basically these are sermons series, but by far some of the best I’ve ever heard.

The "Survivalist Series" by A American. It's fiction, but pretty easy to see how something like this could happen. Several books but does go quickly.

Bible Talk is an EXTREMELY in depth walk through of the Bible, starting in Genesis, with two professors of biblical theology. Not for everyone, and honestly not always for me, but thought I'd throw it out there.

The Rest is History is a good one. Revolutions and The History of Rome are all-timers.
