It happens way too often. I’m betting he hit an in marked pole somewhere in the bay. They are common out there.

I was thinking about this saturday when we were down looking. Driving along the icw, there was an alea ribbed boat static in the middle. Big boat..30 footer i would guess. Just sitting there crossways in the bend of the canal. I don't think it was a no wake zone..and like most all waterways, there really isn't a speed limit. There was a cat running at him that had to be doing 50+, dude was scooting. Did he have to set down? Was the alea boat not obstructing the flow? Things imma have to learn if/when i get down there.

They found his body this afternoon. They said looks like he hit something while running and no kill switch. At least, thats what the article said. Sad situation, but glad they found the body. Lot of my guide buddies were out there looking for him.
