Ate there last night. Third time ive been. The wait was aweful. The food was really good. Ate red deer tenderloin this time. It was really good. Those with me ate the buffalo and elk. They also said it was really good. The buffalo ribeye looked really good. I think ill eat it next time. Took us right at 3hrs to eat there. I thought that was a bit rediculous but i reckon they were doing the best they could. On the up side of that, theres alot of cool stuff to look at while you wait. That helped to pass the time.

Terry is good guy. Are there a couple times, never waited that long. Food was spot on. It's crazy how Terry got started with the deer business, then up from there. I've known him for for a good while.

This was a good but honest review. We were in good company and like i said there is alot of things there to pass the time. Probably a little busier on saturday night at tax time as well. Just dont go in there starving and expecting something fast.

Normally, me either. I just dont have that much time or patience. We did have a good time and i would recommend th place. Where elsecan you go eat a red dear tenderloin or buffalo ribeye in north alabama? Just go with people whos company you enjoy expecting to get to hang out a while and itll be fine.

Maybe dumb question but red deer is a cervid and wouldn’t they be subject to Alabama’s closed borders around CWD or is that not applicable to the sale of frozen product?

Well it may have been an hour and a half waiting then eating for 1.5 hours. I’ve done it and will do it for quality food. As long as it’s not every time I go, I’d be back.

I bet folks wait longer than 2 hrs at the gulf. I guess that’s about the norm wait time unless reservations are taken.

My mom lives a couple houses down and I’ve never been. I’ve always been tempted to get a cow call to try and get that lonely elk fired up . Oh and they had a gator get out and it wound up in my mothers pond.

ate there last Saturday for the first time. Food was first class, really enjoyed it. I know the wait can be long, but I like how they will call/text you. You can go do something else down the road while waiting. The deer and other animals don’t do much me, but the kids like it. The staff and I think the owner was first class as well.

Ill be honest, with a daughter with all kinds of food alergies, ive had to just quit worrying about what eating out costs. She wasnt with us last night though, but the places she can eat are generally pretty pricey and if our waitress takes good care of her and dont act annoyed that she needs special care, i will tip them really good because i appreciate them caring for my daughters needs. Last night my wifes sister and her husband asked us to go out with them. When th check came, her husband grabbed it and wouldnt take any money from me. So, paying it forward, Carbonclimber, if youd like to see what its about, im inviting you, my treat. I would love to sit down and eat a meal with you. Wives invited as well. Your probably much to proud for that but i assure you it would be a blessing to me. If youd like to take me up on it, let me know.

I googled elk cow calls and bull bugles. When i played the cow call, he walked off. I think he was just going to get a drink but my wife said i ran him off. He was with a cow right before that, his horns had been removed. They were just standing around hanging out. When she walked off, i played the calls. About all the reaction he had was his ears flipping around like a horse does.

Didn’t know he had a cow with him I just know some evenings he’ll just bugle a lot. Thought it would e fun to mess with him . Heck you may be the thousandth person to do it over a phone so he may not respond. Plus I don’t want to be responsible for any damage. Don’t know if I’d ever get tired of hearing an elk bugle
