My Horror Fraught Bauer 20volt throws an impressive beam but also has a lot of spill which is usefull. Requires the purchase of battery and charger seperate though. Already had them so it was a no brainer to give it a try when I needed one. Has worked well more than a year now.
I will add that the ability to change out batteries when one croaks has saved my butt from being in the middle of a swamp looking for a lost goat with a cell phone light. Rechargeables die and your done until you can get to a charger. If the battery just wears out from so many charge cycles many of them are landfill material. So it kinda depends on what you need for your purpose. Pets in the back yard or serious 'gotta have a light' work play into it.

I've got some from Milwaukee and dewalt that have worked well
Milwaukee is called the searchlight and the dewalt is called the jobsite spotlight

Pistol grip handheld? I have a Streamlight Waypoint I purchased off Amazon. It's rechargeable, rugged, and really bright! Thanks gents. I got an old one from Walmart. It's a dynamite blood trailing light because it doesn't white out everything but it will not hold a charge.

These are good. I’ve seen them wet muddy kicked dropped from a 30+ feet hit the ground/grass not concrete and they still going.

I'll have to see which one I bought my FIL. Got it at Tractor Supply. Damned thing could illuminate an airstrip and guide a plane down.

I'll have to see which one I bought my FIL. Got it at Tractor Supply. Damned thing could illuminate an airstrip and guide a plane down. I was tracking one night and didn't have my headlamp. I stopped at TSC and picked up the Job Smart 3000 Lumen Rechargeable for $19.99 to get me through the night. It ahs been one heck of a light and holds a pretty good charge.
