I got thrown out of a club when I was 17. My buddy was the president’s nephew and he didn’t like that after he figured it out. He wasn’t in the club but had a piece he hunted beside it we hunted also with friends he invited. Now I promise I’m a little to blame cause we did some crazy stuff back then. Me and two buddies went down before turkey season to fish hillabee creek shoot crows and have a good weekend. I’d called the president the weekend before and let him know people not in the club were all over it riding four wheelers. He came down with his buddy and kicked me out for bringing guests. My stepdad talked me into joining with him and I had paid half the money so he could hunt too. They said I was a guest and couldn’t invite guests. 🤷‍♂️
I didn’t get kicked out of hillcrest but did after I wouldn’t pay the following years dues after they changed the by laws in January still kind of mad about that one. Funny thing the members ended up turning on the president and he took all his equipment the club used and went home.

I have found..that im not really club material…not a huge fan of extra rules..state gives me enough..and i got enough horns tk look at..i just want to tote my recurve…and shoot legal deer

I been kicked out of a club but it wasn't a hunting club. It wasn’t even me that spilt beer on the pool table.

I got thrown out of one four years ago.

Little back story..... A buddy of mine got me in the club and hunted with me in it the first year. He got an opportunity to take over another lease at the end of the season and moved on. When he left some accusations were made that he took some stuff that belonged to the club which is not true but that's another story. I hunted in the club another two seasons and punched out a limit of bucks in year two (three 120 - 130 inch 8 points). The next season one of the long time members got his 20 something year old son in the club in exchange that he would do the field work and nobody else had to do it. Me and this kid clashed from Day 1 and I believe he and his Dad were the ringleaders in my ouster.

In year 3 on opening day I invited my not very popular aforementioned buddy to hunt with me and he wound up killing a really nice very tall buck. Of course this red assed the other members but they didn't say anything to me until later in the season. Rock on till about late December and I had not been to the club since opening weekend. I rode down one morning and just sat on a road bordering a bedding area and killed a really nice 8 point crossing into the bedding area. A few weeks later on Martin Luther King Jr Day I brought an 11 year old kid with me and he got cold that morning and wanted to get up and move around. So we walked fire breaks for a while and came out on some road that I had never been on. We sat down and did a little rattling sequence and a pretty nice 8 ran out in the road and the kid shot it. They didn't say anything to me in front of the kid but about midweek the grumbling started on the group text saying that I had shot the deer (untrue) and I defended myself. Got tired of that nonsense and just stopped participating in the text. I probably should have just let it lay but I went down the last weekend and wound up killing a 10 point they had been after all season. Now there were no rules whatsoever on how many bucks you could kill other than follow State Law. All the deer were club legal. No guest rules were broken because there were no guest rules. They encourage bringing guests because "the social aspect of deer hunting is what makes it special" as it states in the rules. With all that said, not a single rule was violated. Shortly after the season went out I got a call saying I wasn't a good fit for the membership and that I was out. I'm assuming that the fact that I killed 5 good deer in two years and my guests killed 2 while the rest of the club managed to kill a whole lot of nothing in that same span didn't sit well with a few of them.

My friend warned me that it was going to happen though. He told me if you could hunt and started killing big deer that they would adios you, and he was right. I don't hold any ill will tpwards them even though I still feel it was unjustified.... I still see those guys from time to time and I stop by and talk to them like the old friends most of them are. At the end of the day they are good people, but jealousy over deer and turkeys is an ugly thing.

funny how a dead deer and who killed it or who didn`t get to kill it will make grown men act.

I have never been kicked out of a camp or not invited back to hunt that I know of.

Now, I have pissed off a few folks in camp over the years by dragging some good ones out of the bushes

We asked a guy to leave after the season a couple years ago… folks got tired of his political injects while everyone was talking deer hunting. He was pissed, but he got to hunt the full season. The Prez warned him several times, but guy could not help himself.

I've got two buddies who were kicked out of a club we were in.

Close; I would have if I hadn’t quit the club. A good friend of mine in the club was accused of and arrested for trespassing an off-limits area. I felt that it was a bogus charge and that he was being targeted by the club leadership because he was killing really nice bucks consistently … in areas that the leadership prefers to hunt. So, I went to the Jackson County courthouse on the day of his trial and testified on his behalf and against the club leadership. I knew I would never have peace in that club again and that they would probably treat me the same as a result of my testimony so I quit before they had the chance.

I don't know if this qualifies as "kicked out" or not. I ticked off an officer's wife. (I was also an officer.) Evidently, I pulled out in front of her or something in town one day. To this day, I have no clue what I did or when I did it. I just know she went off about it. I had to work the first board meeting for the next season. Later in the day, I get a call from the club president, a good guy and still a friend, wanting to know why I dropped out. I told him I didn't know I had, that I had to work that day. I had already written the check. He said the other guy walked into the meeting and the first thing he said was "All I know is xxxxx ain't getting back in this year". The other board members thought that meant I was dropping out and had told him so.

The irony? I now own a significant piece of the property that club was leasing. I make it a point to give an exaggerated wave and smile to the dude and his wife every chance I get.

What goes around comes around. I enjoy quietly watching.

I've never been kicked out but I did kick a guy out of the club I ran before season came in. He and his kid were so bad that the entire membership said that if I din't kick him out they all wanted their money back.

That was an awkward call for sure.

You never really know someone until you hunt with them.

I got asked not to rejoin a club in Greene Co. One of the landowner/ members was using pods on his arrows and didn't want me around, afraid I'd see him with them. Surprise....I checked him and wrote him up anyway.

I was in a club in Lower Peach Tree Alabama with a bunch of animals. I was issued NOCTEC for use against others on some missions. Whenever I came back on leave to go hunting azzholes would steal my food out of my truck. The last time was the last time and every one of them took a nap in the woods during a freezing thunderstorm. I laughed my azz off and they asked me not to come back.

I also made friends with some local black folk that harassed them and screwed up their chit for over a decade.

At the time my rifle had a J-Lock and the one that locked my rifle lost his rifle for good.

I’m a serious hunter and play for keeps with novice jokers

When I was in college, I returned home for Christmas break and was allowed to hunt with a dog hunting club for a reduced fee since I was only around for 4 weeks. In running drives, the head honchos in the club would organize the drive and send standers to certain areas. On one particular drive I had been on twice, I noticed dogs went in a different way from all the standers towards another part of the club. One Saturday, I started out the day stalk hunting. When they came in to drive the place, I joined up with them for a couple of drives... but when they headed over to drive that other area, I told them to go on without me and I found a spot where I thought those dogs always ran through. Bottom line is that the dogs did exactly the same thing again and I killed a 6-7 YO six point about a quarter mile in front of them. I about had a nasty altercation with the club president that day and was fortunate to exit the property without someone getting hurt - all because I decided to back stand that drive in a location no closer than a 1/2 mile to any person on that drive.

As a club president, one time I had to be the one to break the news to a guy that we needed to part ways with. Had he stayed in the club, we would have reached a point that we would have had to remove him from the membership. However, we decided to be proactive and part ways before it came to that.

Johnny if you were in peachtree - it was most likey the locals stealing your stuff. Extremely rough area!

I was in club there 1 year - wondered why deer were so ultra spooked early season. A buddy from that area told me he knew why. He said T - that property will get hunted year round by locals. Then we noticed gate getting taken off hinges ect.

You probably hulled them up the rear for no good reason!!! That is a hood rat area!!

They " hurled " my ass over the club property line and threatened bodily harm if I ever came back.

I hunted Lower Peach Tree in the late 70’s. Our club house door had a perfect buckshot pattern in it where one guy shot through the door and killed another guy. Some of the blacks would come help us make man drives. They would beat pots and pans and shoot all kinds of small game with their single shot shotguns. My dad and other club members would pay the black ladies to cook meals for us. (Best southern food ever)!!! We got in good with a black man named Leroy Karstophen and he was the head of Lower Peach tree and kept us out of local trouble.
