It does..or did with mine (thankfully last summer). But i think Jag just tried to make friends with the skunk and wasn't really sprayed? He stunk but didn't wreak or take your breath. I subbed dial body wash for the dawn soap since we didn't have any.

That absolutely works, but dries the skin. Almost feels like bad wind burned. Ask me how i know, and it wasn't the dog.

Love a good hunting story, love my family and friends. Some people you can't, but acted like do.

dont know if that concoction works, but I would suggest going to your local tractor supply or car wash that has one of the indoor dog washing stations. They're worth every penny.

Has happened to mine twice in the past year. DE-SKUNK worked the best to remove the odor as long as you do not let the hair get wet prior to applying (very important). Not saying it removes every bit of it but it helped ALOT. Just make sure you do the whole dog, starting at feet and work up. Mine was directly sprayed, you know the smell so bad it doesn't even smell like a skunk at first...

Generic polo cologne will kill the smell, although that stuff stinks too. Skinned several out through the years and used it.
