Yeah, same here. Way too crowded during the Summer. Their Flounder BLT is damn good too.

My studio was next door to Louisiana the Restaurant and they’d have oyster tasting in the fall and winter months. He’d have a vast selection of up and down the east and west coast along with some gulf coast oysters. Man I enjoyed those days. Also used to live on raw oysters back years ago while at the beach. It was nothing to eat 12-15 dozen while chugging beer. Of course back then they were 1.99 a dozen and the occasional .99 a dozen. At my MIL funeral her sister took us out to Goatfeathers. I tried to refuse her paying for my meal. I had 11 dozen at 14.99 a dozen and she paid. She joined in and ate 7 dozen herself.

These days I feel like I’m rolling the dice. I’ve been to some of the hole in the walls down around Appalachia cola. Honestly they were good but I didn’t think they were the greatest things.

The price was $21.99 for Ap, $19.99 for others per doz.

I was inspecting a power plant near Atlanta one day and I was talking with one of the staff that was shadowing me. I told him that this was a pretty nice place near the river. He told me that it was except when The City of Atlanta dumped sewage into the Chattahoochee across the river from the plant. He said it smelled so had you had to cover you face if you went outside. i asked him how they were allowed to do it. He said that the democrat government over there found out that it was cheaper to dump the raw sewage into the river and pay the fines than it was costing them to treat the sewage properly. So they just dump it into the river and pay the fines.

I worked in industrial water treatment, cooling towers and such for 20 years with the Chattahoochee as feed water. I took river samples daily. It was eye opening.

We must have worked for the same company.

I was a contractor for multiple contracts. I worked for Ionics, GE, Nalco, which Later become Ecolab. I was at Farley for the most part. I worked under the Chemistry department. I was occasionally at other plants. I also worked for Siemans on turbine and generator rebuilds and change outs before that. I couldn't hold down a job but I always had one.

Well when I was young and there was a hog killing daddy would get the nuts and we ate them. They were pretty good. Never eat a deer nut though any of y'all ever tried them

Nothing better than raw oysters for lunch after a morning hunt, especially on a cold day. Crackers hot sauce and lemon. We’d get a sack and feed
everyone. Last batch I got was from Maria’s in Pensacola, Louisianas, good flavor, not too strong, not too mild, salty, not a dead one in the lot. The Mrs.is great at making rocks for grilling.

We ate twice at bluegills oyster house last summer at Mobile it was good. Ate at the Oyster house too. It was good

Saw the FWC post that it was opening back up. Glad they did as they were the best. Salty. Friend and I used to get a half bag and eat some raw with hot sauce and lemon and throw others on the grill.

I hear what y'all putting down, and hear that from lots of folks that feel the same, then they go order or stock their freezer with nasty ass Tilapia or some Farm raised chinerman shit water Catfish (don't get me started on the Crawfish)

Or the chicken, beef, and pork they eat

After Atlanta the waters flow thru what 5/6 lakes? I believe that all the bottom-feeding catfish have cleaned up the water. You eat catfish ?

Wow, I thought that I was the only person crazy enough to drive from north Alabama to the beach to eat oysters
