Anyone know of a tracking dog this far north? We're just north of Elkmont near West Limestone. Shot a doe tonight around 445 and can't find the dang thing anywhere. Said it looked like a good shot (wasnt me 🤣), broadside at only 100yrds. We found good blood, what looked like a piece of lung even. We'd track good blood, then drips, then good blood and fat again, back to drips. Then our headlamps had all gone dead. Tracked for about 200yards before we backed out. Any recommendations?

Sounds like a possible brisket hit......that's probably where you're getting the fat from.....The stuff that looks like lungs is probably coagulated blood like you see inside of them when you gut 'em.....That's a pretty common thing to hear but its usually not lung
