Seems like it’s pulling teeth to get decent customer service these days, so just putting a shout out to Zeiss.

The battery cap on my scope fell off last weekend in the woods and i can’t find a replacement anywhere online. Sent zeiss a message asking where I can buy it and they just ended up sending one for free less than 12 hours later.

Hard to beat that.

I did the same thing, I told them I would pay and they said no prob. FedEx showed up the next afternoon. On the flipside, I’ve been waiting for a Leupold replacement for 6 months.

Unfortunately; Zeiss is exiting the analog rifle scope market next year.
My Diavari Victory 2.5-10x42 is my favorite scope.

Hopefully you won't have to use them enough to find they're often the opposite.

That’s the first I’ve heard of that. Bummer.
My three go-to rifles are topped with conquest v4’s. Hard to imagine a better made scope.

I bought a Zeiss Diavari Z 1.5-6x42 on Ebay years ago. I was an Israeli sniper model that had a rough beat up finish and a low profile target turret on the top. Eventually the power ring cracked on it (not my fault it was always tight and it was well used). Sent it in (over to Germany) and got it repaired, they did charge me $200 - I wasn't mad about it, I only paid $300 for it. It now lives on my Savage 220 slug gun. Great optic.

I've got a V4 on my 7mm-08 and have been more than happy with it. Haven't had deal with their customer service but glad to hear of all the positive feedback and hope it stays that way.

I lost a turret in an older zeiss. Took them a few weeks to locate one. But they sent me one.
I told them it was my fault. I am left handed and the way I carry a rifle if they are not tight, the left and right adjustment knob will
Come off from readjusting on my shoulder.
They sent to me no charge. Kept in contact with email.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My phone screen does not always work right, usually a lot of misspelled words....

I sent in an older Zeiss a few years back.

They offered a loaner. Then, apologized a week later that my scope would have to go to Germany to be repaired, and offered a loaner again.

They then repaired a 40+ year old scope and returned it to me with no charge. They even paid the shipping both ways.

I two similar experiences with older Swarovski scopes, and the same with Kahles.

Can't speak to warranty on Schmidt-Bender, as I have never sent one of those back.

Vortex usually just sends a new scope.
