The joy this pup brought my son on Christmas Day after waiting on a litter for 2 months and that not working out. Those by the way were 2000.00 a pup not obedience trained or with a caretaker these are well worth the 800.00

Just drives me nuts when people who aren’t even interested in an item feel the need to comment just to knock someone’s price

The cheapest part of owning a bird dog is the purchase price. Healthy, well bred pups are always worth the cost. Food, heartworm meds, vet bills will be a continual expense. Birds, training grounds, e-collar, check cords and all the other items needed to train a dog. If you “send it to school” expect to spend $800 a month.

Trust me I totally understand. I have a 5 year old lab also that spent 2 years with trainer.

But back to someone commenting on a post about price without knowing the whole story.

These pups are 800.00 a piece because there not registered. The mother has papers that are great with great pedigree . The father come from registered stock and could have had papers but original owner had to get rid of him quickly and couldn’t find paper work. Does that mean they will be the greatest bird dog no. But a piece of paper doesn’t guarantee that either.

Time will tell. We will see if our gamble pays off.

Classifieds are about buying and selling, sometimes complimenting an ad is ok, not supposed to be any bullshit about your price. New members don’t know the rules unfortunately.
Basically if you don’t have anything good to say about the ad, keep your mouth shut.

Really wish I had time to start a pup. With my labs getting fat, any training time will be devoted to them. Won’t find a more reasonable price on GSP pups.
