My daughter has a dance competition at Opelika High School the first of February. Where are some good places to stay? Trying not to make the same mistake we did in Dothan last year.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn right off the interstate next to the Cracker Barrel and Waffle House last weekend for a wedding. It was cheap and clean, and not far at all from the highschool.

I would stay off exit 58 which is Tiger Town.

Exit 62 is closer to OHS, only hotel off that exit is the Comfort mentioned above, don’t stay at any others off exit 62

The Hampton at Tiger Town is decent, and has enough room for a trailer if you happen to be pulling one.

Like said… only this one off exit 62. Tiger Town has many more choices.

Stay in downtown Auburn. Lots of options and great food nearby.

Hilton Garden Inn is reasonably priced, in a good location and nice enough for anyone.

Stay in Auburn or Opelika every week here now for that matter. The tiger town Hampton is dated beds suck, Auburn Hampton isn’t as bad as Opelika. The Hilton garden inn, mentioned is good although no breakfast included if you care, for that I think it’s $13 bucks each and mediocre at best.

The graduate is ok, it’s new but logistically it isn’t great parking is offsite and valet only and takes 20 mins to get your car on average.

The Marriot has went down hill some, and is an extra 20 min drive to get to.

The home2suits or an Airbandb would be my choice but I stay at Hilton chains so don’t have as much experience at others but rough 60-80 nights a year here for work.
