The time has come for me to move away from my old standby of pulling on a pair of Scent-Lok coveralls before going to my stand. More than just the scent control factor, I've always liked putting on an outer layer that's been in a scent-free tub over clothes that I wear in my truck driving to my property. In looking at my options, I'm going to replace the coveralls with a leafy or ghillie suit. The main thing I'm needing is that it would have good camo for either ground or treestand hunting and that it be lightweight (the ScentLok suit is actually heavier than I prefer). Any suggestions or recommendations?

ASAT camo, get the suit and thank me later. I’ve had deer come within 10 yards and didn’t know I was there. So long as you play the wind, you will be invisible.

Love the 3D ASAT leafy suit. It fits larger to size to fit over other garments.

The cool thing about a leafy suit is you can wear whatever you want under it . Great for quick hunts , and all year long . You can use one with short pants and wife beater under it late season Turkey hunting or wear a snow mobile suit under it deer hunting in single digits. They get the job done and can save you $ . No telling how many times I've seen some clothing and thought , "why don't they make this in camo?" Well , "they" don't have to if you have a leafy suit.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

i have a BPS leafy jacket that’s held up well for a long time
definitely buy a quality one - the cheaper ones lose their leaves quickly

I used to wear the BPS leafy suits until they started using their own camo patterns. I used a Realtree AP Fall and a Realtree AP Green for years during turkey season until they became too worn to use.

Get you a couple of these. I use green in the spring for turkey and the tan in the fall for deer. I had to learn to hunt on the ground when I spent 7 years in Oklahoma. These are light weight so u can dress underneath accordingly and they are highly effective at breaking up your outline. Ive killed many a deer on the ground with these using a crossbow. Ive had mice crawl across my feet and birds actually land on me. That will scare the crap out of you😝

ya that’s my only knock against it - it also doesn’t breathe all that well
but it has held up pretty good for me

I have an ASAT leafy and a North Mountain Gear leafy. The ASAT is lighter and more breathable. I tried to turkey hunt with the NMG, but just about melted down. For deer hunts, the NMG is great.
