I would rather not talk about that. I just cant get thw fish to act right. Ive thrown the kitchen sink at them. I know theyre there, i can see them. I have been going behind fronts instead ahead of them, just the way my works been working out. That could be part of it. I have caught quite a few right before dark but i generally go home around dark. 3-4yrs ago, we would go up there right now and catch 100 fish in a couple hours. Sometimes 7-8 different species of fish. Yesterday i fished 3hrs and caught 5 fish. Thats aweful.

The lake I go to a lot is pressured so bad, at least that’s what a guy told me. We troll and catch channels and drums regularly. Bass aren’t easy and I can catch all the minner breams I want. Crappie just grab the jigs and laugh. I still enjoy going though but it can be aggravating.

There was only one other boat there yesterday in the three hours we were there. 3-4years ago there would be 8-10 boats within rock chunkin distance. I just cant make sense of it. Ive been 4 times in a month and havent really seen anybody catching fish much. Rocky Drake was there on day and i didnt even see them catching fish. Only exception is white bass. If you hit the white bass schooling you can catch them till your arms hurt.

Ain't that a place them YouTubers fish a lot? I recall one was complaining people, including commercial fishermen, following his videos ruined his lake for big fish.

Maybe it is the same problem the folks on the Serious Deer Talk forum are having...there are so many acorns.

There are a lot of acorns this year. There are a lot of bait minnows on the lakes too.

The problem this fall for us have been choosing the right days. It is very important, when fishing for certain species and sometimes any species below the dams, is water generation. If it ain’t right they ain’t biting, weather has a bit to do with it as well… we use “natural” realistic swim baits, the live kind.. but is the same for wurm chunkin, if they aren’t running the right water, turn down river…
