Let us know how you do it and how it goes. I brown my cracklings in a cast skillet, take out 1/2 to add to batter and leave 1/2 on bottom of the pan. I have left them all on bottom but imo if you brown them, then add them, the whole pan tastes like it. Either way, good stuff!!!

I just browned them and added them all in. But next time I’m going to go your route. It sounds better
