It's a former judge wanting the UK to pass a tax on pointed knives with longer than 3 inches blades. Imported or domestic.

Oh hell there will be new taxes on hammers, bricks, steel toe boots and anything that can be used to attack people with on the way. Perhaps if they rid the country of the violent immigrants that they allowed to over run the UK they wouldn't have that problem.

England has fallen so far from what they once were. The Empire that the sun never set on did not own all that territory by being weak and nice to everyone. They did not. But much of the death, destruction and evil perpetrated on the world during their empire and since it fell, falls squarely on them. You gotta take the good with the bad. I'm not sure the good outweighed the bad. Arguments could be made on both sides.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.
