Are you hauling them with a single axle or tandem axle traile? I’m needing to buy a trailer but don’t want to under buy or over buy because the price difference is a minimum of $1,000.00. Thanks

Yeah you’re right consider what you buy. I use a single but wish I had gotten a longer one or tandem axle in retrospect. Extra room for stuff would have been better though it’s easy to haul. If I was doing it again I would have gone 16 foot minimum instead of 12.

I use a 6x12 single axle to transport my Polaris ranger crew, no issues. But trailers are like most other things, better to go bigger/heavier than you think you need.

Im going to make a suggestion based off years of experience. A single axle will get you by. You need a tandem axle that’s at minimum 14’ and 16’ is better. If you haul it with any attachments or implements to your destination anything shorter won’t be enough, especially if it’s a unit with more than one row of seats.

Mines a crew 570.
It’s 11 and a half feet long.
I pull it with my 16 ft trailer for my tractor cause I can’t see buying another one just for that. If I could get by with ten ft. Maybe. So double for me.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
My phone screen does not always work right, usually a lot of misspelled words....

Polaris XP900 / regular cab. 6X12 dovetail trailer has worked fine .If / when I get a crew cab anything I will get a tandem.

I have a single axle 6x12 to haul my Ranger 900 and never had any problems. Never occurred to get dual axle as I was just needing something bigger than my 6x8 I had for the ATV. My next one will probably be dual axle just to have it.

I believe i would get a tandem just for the extra tire on that side if you have a blowout. Atleast then you dont have to leave it sitting on the side of the interstate, you can limp it on to the tire store. If you were being thrifty, a 12ft single axel will do.

Brother had his Honda 1000-5 on a single for a few years. Really wore the inside of the tires from the weight. Traded up to a dual axle with brakes and it’s night and day difference pulling it.

Towing wise tandem will always be better. I like being able to move mine around by hand without blowing a hernia. I have a 6x12

This is why I said what I’ve said about a tandem. Singles will wear badly on the inside from the weight is a SxS.

What JW said, get a tandem then if a tire blows you can probably still get to your destination.
And if you have to haul other stuff, which you will, bigger is better.

900xp here with a tandem 18 ft trailer. Can haul a four wheeler or riding lawn mower in addition to the sxs, nose to tail.

Single axle will hold it but also depends on the SxS. I had a 1000 and dialed back to a 520. It isn’t very big and doesn’t weigh much.
