Whenever we go to the big city of Mount Pilot, we like to eat outside at one of the restaurants on Broad Street. There's usually a nice breeze blowing down the street and the folks there seem to be pretty respectful, except for the jackasses on the loud Harleys and squatted pick-up trucks.

We made a day out of it, getting his and hers pedicures No, I did not get any color or polish on mine, but I do love a cute little Vietnamese gal rubbing my feet. We also stopped by Aldi for some groceries.

We were craving a pizza at Mellow Mushroom, but their outside dining area was full, so we went next door to our favorite restaurant on Broad and that is Harvest Moon. Believe it or not their chicken fingers are really good, so I had them with collard greens, blackeye pea salad, homemade mac and cheese and their jalapeno and cheese cornbread. Mrs. Irish had the Cobb salad with fried chicken. That is a Sweetwater 420 I washed it all down with.

Good eats and a good time with my lady friend. See that smile... That is genuine happiness right there.

Agree chicken tenders a really good and so is the fried chicken on Sunday. They make a good old fashion too.

That Mac and cheese looks great

My youngest could survive on chicken tenders. Take him to the best restaurants in Savannah and he orders chicken tenders. Oh well.
