Green, orange, red, or blue. In that order for parts. Red being Massey Ferguson of course. Never buy Mahindra. I mean never. Consider yourself warned.

I would go with Kubota. Other brands may be cheaper though

Also gotta compare apples to apples. They al seem to have 2-3 lines and the heavy duty will be the most expense. That’s the ones you want.

Being your in Baldwin Co, Parish Tractor. Pleased with them after Dan sold out. They called a while back and said they had to deliver a tractor up towards Thomaston and wanted to know if I wanted the M135 picked up, serviced, and looked over being they were coming back empty. I said sure as long as I can get it back in the next month or so. They said that was the plan because they have to go to Tuscaloosa in a couple weeks to pick up some equipment that was over stocked.

The robbers from the gang that wears green/yellow colors are some epic dumbasses that only want to work on lawnmowers and charge you gross amounts of money for parts made in China and assembled in the USA.

NONE of them are what they use to be. If you truly want low operating costs get an early 90's model Smurf colored tractor off Facebook Marketplace. They'll outlast a brand new one. Facts.

Just something to consider, and I totally agree your money you buy what you like way of doing business, when I was looking at tractors a few years ago I took a step back from the modern versions and bought a 1960 Ford 801 PowerMaster 4cyl diesel and gave it an overhaul and some new parts, body parts, new and better seat and paint. I have just around $3,000 in it and have enjoyed it more than I think I ever would a new version. One like that may not be able to do the work you need and when using it you and the bugs will become great friends, but it just works and works, also they are really cool.

Farm equipment these days is alot like politics, you just pick the least crappiest one

Maintaining a tractor isn't hard most farmers did a crappy job of it for 30-40 years before their purchase finally bit the dust. LOT of good reliable machines out there on the used market that require very little upkeep and are ultra reliable. You just have to know which ones were built that way and accept you aren't going to have a cab and air but at the same time save $40-50k and a lifetime of headaches and trips to the dealer for "service" a.k.a. fixing broke plastic and electronics.

I’ve had good luck with newer Kubotas and JDs. A Kubota M7040 or a JD 5075E are both beasts and I’ve enjoyed both of them. Find a used one under 1,000 hours and you’ll be fine. I’d buy the one with the better/closer dealer because you will need them eventually.

I vote Kubota . I sold my Kubota and now have a John Deere and a Massey which are good tractors but not as good as Kubota in my opinion

My dad owned an old Ford tractor and sold it to a cousin of mine. I still see him on it every now and then, but for me, and I've got a good friend that has owned more than a few tractors and the one he had I like the most was a Kubota. Then again, it burned up, from a fire that started at the Bush Hog. Neither one of us was on it at the time. Scared the devil out of the guy he hires to do most of the tractor driving. Anyways, when the insurance paid off he went and bought another JD.

My problem with JD is the way they require you to go through a technician to get the computer reset on maintenance etc.
