If DHR is involved, you want Sandy Gregory. I used her a number of years ago to do an administrative appeal of a trumped up DHR finding of abuse on one of my stepsons. The letter I received back from Montogomery was a scathing take down of the Jefferson County DHR office. I was of course cleared. She knows her stuff. Yes it is Jefferson Co. from what I started reading on the law just a little is that they cannot re-open a case after it has been closed and anything done after the case has been closed is illegal. I think that’s what is going on here.

I feel for you. I found them to be highly ineffective. In my case, they never even spoke to me. The detective from Trussville I spoke with was like, you have nothing to worry about. I can see exactly what's going on here. I had a years worth of surprise home visits from them. 9 months or more after I was cleared i the administrative appeal.
They are a complete joke.
Sandy will get you fixed up.
