Wife is planning a trip next year, would appreciate any tips from someone who has been. She will have a spreadsheet done in a month or so. 😁

Beautiful place. Been 15 years since we went. Definitely hike to the glacier. Going to the sun road. Enjoy.

We went 2 years ago in September. There is a ton to see inside the park. If you are just park focused I would stay inside the park and you have to be on top of passes as they sale out as soon as they are released same as rooms. We stayed in kalispel as our base camp and explored from there as we did outside the park activities like fly fishing. But it was a pretty long drive to the park. Would definitely suggest going to the sun road, when did it one day there and some hikes from Logan pass. Parking at Logan pass is extremely limited, if you are staying in the park I would just suggest on of the red bus tours that takes you up going to the sun road, it’s hard to drive and look to take it all in. We also did the many glacier area which was along drive from kalispel, but it was a lot less crowded. You could easily spend a week or 2 just exploring the park. We have it on our list to go back.

was there two yrs ago, a very special place.
Going to the sun road is a must. Hike the highline trail while you are at logan pass. At least walk out it a little ways to see the views, also hidden lake is up there. Avalanche lake hike is worth the walk. go to the east side, to Many Glacier Hotel ( i could sit on the porch there for a week and just look at it), do the Grinnel lake hike . Go to Bowman Lake and stop in Pole Bridge along the way.
Whitefish is a neat town if you want to take a break from the hiking.
Go to dirtinmyshoes.com and pay the 59.00 for her itinerary, it was worth it for us. You don't have to do all she lists but it is invaluable for telling you all the things you will need that you prob wont know about.

Glacier is so special, we are going back the summer of 27.

I know she has sun road on the list, also she found a VRBO near the park with a river view. She and one of the daughters wants to go to Canada for a day πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ.

Go early to Logan Pass so you can get a parking place. Then hike trails from that parking lot. Be prepared for jaw-dropping scenery! We went to Glacier, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton all on the same trip. Loved them all, but Glacier was by far our favorite.

all good suggestions above. get your passport if you dont have one, Canadian side is even prettier than US. stay a night in Many Glacier Hotel in US and Prince of Wales in Canadian side, both 100+ yr old built by the railroad. take a ul fishing rod, rent a canoe and catch some trout in Cameron Lake near Waterton Park. if you're flying in-rent a Mustang convertible.. wife and I cant wait to go back. we plan on hitting the Calgary Stampeede when we return

If you dont do anything else, go to the bakery. Stop at visitor center and ask for directions. Its a bakery in the park, no electricity in middle of woods, was an awesome experience, they also have primitive cabins for rent there
