Frankie - Best wishes on a very speedy recovery after the surgery.

Had mine replaced on May 1. So far things have been good. With the pain I had before, this hasn’t been bad at all. I was bone on bone for a while and I just kept putting it off. I am 46 and wish I had done it a year ago. I started back to work today as we get students back tomorrow. I teach the Diesel Tech program so they got me an adjunct to help with the labs but I will be doing the classroom theory. All in all not a bad surgery. Mine was total hip replacement direct anterior approach.

In most cases, hip replacement is an outpatient surgery now. You will be right as rain in no time.

Nice... I have 2 friends that had hip replacements. One is like a spring chicken running around after doing both sides.

After the first 60 days, you'll be glad you did it. Currently 9 weeks out from hip #2. Still limping some but walker/cane & no joint pain. Do your therapy!

If you're like me, you'll know when its time.

For me it was time when the hip kept me from doing things that I like to do or more importantly kept me from doing things that I have to do.
