At a house party in Dothan. No electricity, just lanterns and a gas heater. My best friend was in town for spring break from ETSU and we had intentions on heading to Panty Bra City. Stored my case of beer outside by the back door. Good times!

I went to bed early, tired from working a side job on top of my regular job. I was expecting to wake up the next morning with a couple inches on the ground because the weather gurus of the time in my area were playing the storm down to not be much more than a dusting. I awakened to an average across my yard of a bit more than 22".

I was snow skiing on some hills on the Dallas/Lowndes county line. Hilliest terrain we could find. 19 years young and having a blast.

Living in Grand Prairie Tx…. Wx folks in N Tex were predicting 8 to 12 inches of ice and snow. We saw two snowflakes while Bama got hammered.

I was 7. No power all electric house and no power. We went to a neighbor’s house who had a gas stove for breakfast. One thing that sticks out in my mind is that we had to walk through a field and swear the snow was up to my waist. I remember having a good time playing in it, but I also remember the bone chilling cold.

My buddies and I in Montgomery were having fun getting stoned and playing all over town. laugh We went sledding from the top of I-85 to Madison avenue right down Perry Street. Some of us probably got up to 45mph. Riverfront park got a lot of interesting snow-people creations that the local news could not broadcast. Snow people do weird things in Montgomery. grin

That snow seemed to last forever in my mind. Recall hearing that crystals was open in Hoover so a bunch of us kids jumped in the back of a 4wd truck and headed to hoover. Man them little crystal burgers were good!

I was young but I do remember it. Stepped off the front porch and snow was almost over my head. Snow was almost up to the windows on some of our neighbors houses. My parents and I slept by the fire place for 2 nights before my uncle came and got us as his power came back on well before our house got back online. Crazy to think about it being that long ago.

Was four wheel driving through some property in Coosa county with a girl I was dating, came home, no electricity, grilled some deer meat on grill and built a fire in fireplace and you know the rest...
