I am impressed with the IRS this year.
Submitted Tax forms electronically on Saturday and we already have the Refund in our bank account pending.
I hope others are having a similar experience.

Wait, people get refunds? You do when your company treats your commission (~50% of your income) as if it's a bonus and mandates a fixed withholding that you're not allowed to change. I've tweaked the withholdings on my salary so that I don't get a whole lot back, but still end up overpaying a little bit at the end of the year.

i got mine back in less than a week. We owed State.
We broke even last year.
Still trying to figure out taxes in retirement.
This year marked 45 years I've been doing my own taxes.

I had a similar experience. Federal and State refunds were in my account within a week of filing.
