I haven't heard anything about deer hunts there this fall/winter. Has anyone participated or is it even open to the public?

Can someone post the pic of the buck that was hit by a log truck near Portland Landing. Was that last year? Truckers were posing in the pictures. It was a good one from what I remember.

Not sure that is the one he's talking about. I have a pic on my phone I can text you. I have the before and after the log truck pics. On second look, that does look like the deer but that was not the driver of the log truck.

I hunted there last week but left Thursday night, wanted to make sure we made it home before it got messy. I saw one borderline shooter and my buddy didn’t see any. I think there were two bucks brought in while we were there.

Working in there in the summertime though will take some of that picture ambition out of you. Those are great bucks.
