Any of you had experience with turkey hunting unit 5 & 6 at Uchee? I imagine they are decent units, but just curious if anyone had a story or two from the unit?

I'll be hunting 6 this weekend. I'll report back I'll be hunting 11 this weekend. If I give you my cell cams would you stick them out on the plots on 6 and I'll just leave them in there till we come back in April?

Uchee units 1 & 2: Anyone have any turkey insight/info on those units? Hit me up with a PM if you need to. I saw a pile of birds in unit 1 when we deer hunted it two years ago. Good sized pines on the ridges & big open swamp on the south end. I would imagine finding a bird wouldn't be too difficult. I'd be standing at the small greenfield up on the ridge above the swamp at daylight & go to him when he gobbles.

I’ve been wondering if that swamp (southern portion of units 1 & 2) had an ‘huntable’ open understory, or if it is thick as hell. Hard to tell just looking at aerials.
