I have an old Riverside Arms shotgun that's a single Barrel, break action 12 gauge. I think it's in the 90-100 year old range, so is shooting it with modern ammo a couple times going to mess it up? If it is going to potentially cause damage, what is a safe alternate?

If no visible signs of damage, prob fine, but if even asking the question, I’d have a gunsmith inspect vs taking forum advice.
