Not very bright on their part. Seems like they could easily be charged with stealing. But we all know nothing will happen to them.

I believe they are on to something. Wife and I we’re talking yesterday about how the Folgers coffee I buy and drink is still the same size and weight container yet now we get 2 less days out of it

Well Purex is basically straight water by laundry detergent standards. What is doesn't wash out it just masks with scent (talking oils, etc that you can't see with the unaided eye). They've been doing the same thing on deodorant sticks and other consumer products (same size stick, but filled with less deodorant, for example).

The other thing to watch out for is the size of the cap (either wider to hold more or a longer neck), which we would call "over-dosing" when using more than the advertised dosage.

It was definitely a factor in the financial analysis of major disruptive technologies like soluble unit-dosing in laundry and dish detergents.

Yup. They clearly had all the shoplifting skills figured perfectly. So if they got arrested then good.
But, everybody getting ripped off by the laundry detergent company is also theft on a larger scale and they will never get in trouble for it.

Winner! Tide powdered laundry detergent has the best cleaning power of anything on the shelf (as of a few years ago, at least).

I do a lot of house work (at times) when it’s hot/rainy etc and I’m off. I do my share, well I’m constantly eyeballing the kids at how much detergent they use and to fully load the dish washer etc. Last year I started using Dawn in the dish washer instead of those high priced tabs, I started with one little thin line over the utensils, then I got brave and put a few steaks over the dishes. Everything was going good and I was feeling nice and cheap until suds came out of the washer in the floor….😂
I’ve now been banned from dishes. 🤷🏼‍♂️
